The Week in Review It's a small world..... on Monday evening my sister, Jayna Campbell, who lives in the Dallas area, sent us a note. She said that there is a young woman from her Ward, that is currently serving in our Mission, Sister Montgomery. I replied that we would keep our eyes open for her. Wouldn't you know it, the very next morning she was at our District Council in Kilmarnock. She is one of the Sister Training Leaders for Scotland. Her mother is my sister, Jayna's, ' ministering sister ', and also the Stake Young Women's President. Young Sister Montgomery is full of enthusiasm, is a great communicator and teacher and example to all the Sister missionaries.  I'm sure as she has traveled through Scotland she has been a real light to the other Sister missionaries. Unfortunately, she was transferred on Thursday so we won't see her here in our District, but we will see her on Dec. 6th at the All-Scotland Zone Conference in Edinburgh. Our District L...

Inspection Week We were assigned six flat inspections and one vehicle inspection this time around. Three were done in-person and the three that were in Ireland we did virtually. We really enjoyed traveling to Dunfermline where we drove to 'David Henderson Court' for one inspection. What made this special is that someone that is very dear to us is the David Henderson. Originally from Mountain View but we know him in Edmonton/Sherwood Park. David ordained me a High Priest ( my father had passed so wasn't available ) - I remember it like yesterday. In the blessing he gave me it felt as though my father was voicing the words. To this day it is the only blessing I have attempted to record in my journal, and I was able to draft four pages of what I recall he said. I served in a High Council while he was Stake President. I saw his devotion and his many gifts, up close. When we were considering a mission we went up to Sherwood Park and found some reason to drive around with David...

Changing Seasons Here in Scotland Rain overnite, followed by cold air moving in, meant that we awoke to a very foggy morning. And by noon, we had a sunny day, but with crispness in the air. Last night it dropped to -7C which is the coldest we've had it on our mission to-date. Daytime temps are now about +7 to +10C. Our First All-Scotland Zone Conference Elder Schneider (left) came into our Dundalk, Republic of Ireland Branch back in February and he was there until our move to Cork in mid-June. We really came to love him and saw so much growth in him. Elder Caswell (right) became companion to Elder Schneider in March  - Caswell also transferred to us in Cork in August, so we have spent alot of time with these two. Schneider is in Liff in Scotland in the Dundee area and Elder Caswell is in Aberdeen. Senior missionaries from all over Scotland do the food prep and serving of the lunch - for about 95 attending. The Conference is held at the Edinburgh Stake Centre, next to the Miss...
